The 30th Rugby Beer Festival has pulled off a major coup by obtaining the strongest real ale ever produced in Warwickshire. The 11% ABV strong ale is even more significant as it was brewed in Rugby by the Atomic brewery. The aptly named Atomic Reactor will feature amongst 60 beers in the towns major showcase for real ales. The festival, which is one of Rugby's biggest indoor event opens on June 14th and is open to all and is expected to be attended by drinkers from all over the Midalnds.

Steve Heighton from the local CAMRA branch stated 'This is our 30th festival and apart from the specially strong brew we have also obtained many other brand new beers and some with a coastal theme running through the with such fabulously named ales such as 70 fathoms, drunken octopus, davy jones locker and oddly Whale ales pale ale!

The festival is open on Friday and Saturday and will be supporting the Warwickshire Air Ambulance on Saturday.Further details can be found on http://www.rugbybeerfestival.com/.
