Large open planeed weatherspoons pub named afyter the local poet born in 1887. The pub was originally a indoor market, and stretches from castle street to the public car park off church street and has access from both ends. Partially carpeted and tiled, it has a small paved walled outside drinking area and a food area in a raised upper level. Very popular and lvely at weekends, and busy on 'club' nights specialising in steaks and curries. Easy access for wheelchairs from castle street.
